Growing with Purpose
What began as a promise to honor Bennett’s life has grown into something much larger - guided by families, shaped by need, and built one thoughtful step at a time. Each milestone reflects a response to real community demand and a commitment to creating inclusive spaces where individuals with disabilities and their families can connect, grow, and belong.

December 2020
Always B Smiling officially launched on December 11, 2020, what would have been Bennett's 17th birthday.

May 2021
Adaptive biking program launched from the basement of a local bike shop, providing a handful of rides a month. Buddee bags and support services started with Children's Hospital.

Spring 2022
Demand for our biking program grew! We bought a small shed to store our bikes, allowing us to begin hosting smaller groups, including school field trips.

Fall 2022
A donation of a land lease from the Robinson Family leads to the opening of Bennett Park, a safe and accessible strip of land with direct access to the Montour Trail.

April 2023
The recreation barn was built with the support of a grant from Washington County Tourism. Artificial turf was laid and a fence was constructed so we can provide more services, including creative arts and the start to our B Independent program.

August 2024
The Activity and Learning Center opened with the help of generous donors and a dedicated building committee. This allows the opportunity to provide programming year-round.

Summer 2025
Sensory Garden opens, featuring sensory panels, and playful elements like the Ladybug Tunnel and Inclusive Whirl, creating an engaging, accessible space for all.
